03 - 2 teaspoons baking powder
04 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
06 - 2 cups buttermilk
07 - 2 large eggs
08 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

→ Polar Bear Decorations
10 - 1 cup thick Greek yogurt
11 - 1/2 cup mini marshmallows
12 - 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips or candy eyes
13 - 1 banana, sliced
→ Accompaniments
14 - 1 cup fresh blueberries
15 - 1 cup strawberries, halved
16 - 1/2 cup maple syrup
17 - 1/2 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
18 - 1/2 cup whipped cream
19 - 1/2 cup toasted coconut flakes (optional)
# Method:
01 - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until evenly blended.
02 - In a separate bowl, whisk buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until combined.
03 - Pour wet ingredients into dry and gently stir until just combined; avoid overmixing to maintain fluffiness.
04 - Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter.
05 - For each polar bear, pour one large pancake (about 1/3 cup batter) for the face, and two smaller pancakes (about 1 tablespoon batter each) for ears. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden. Repeat with remaining batter.
06 - Arrange pancakes on a large serving board: place the large pancake as the face and the two smaller pancakes as ears.
07 - Use Greek yogurt and banana slices to form snout and inner ears of the polar bear.
08 - Place chocolate chips or candy eyes for eyes and nose, then add mini marshmallows or banana slices as outer ears.
09 - Fill the board with fresh blueberries, strawberries, maple syrup, chocolate hazelnut spread, whipped cream, and toasted coconut flakes as desired.
10 - Serve immediately, allowing guests to decorate or assemble their own polar bear pancakes.
